A little help at bedtime
Daddy Arm Storytime began with Emmy and Daddy imagining stories together. These illustrated first editions are made for reading, listening, and sharing a quiet moment.
Choose how to read
Choose a world, then a book. Swipe the picture or use Back and Next. The chapter menu lets you jump between chapters. The logo marked HOME takes you back to the library.
Read to me starts narration and turns pages after a three-second pause. Pause stops the reading; Resume continues it. Moving to another page while narration is playing keeps read-aloud on.
Plan your time
The homepage suggests books by estimated reading time. Estimates include gentle page pauses, but actual time depends on your pace and your device’s voice.
The sleep timer inside each book stops narration when the selected time ends. It starts when you select a time, keeps counting during pauses, and resets when you leave the book. You can keep reading manually or start narration again afterward. A sleeping or suspended browser may delay the timer until it becomes active again.
If there is no sound
Tap Read to me, check media volume, and check whether audio is going to headphones or another device. On an iPhone, also try turning Silent Mode off. If playback stops, tap Read to me again. Manual reading is always available.
Current narration uses your browser or device’s available voices. We currently select a male narrator where available; the exact voice or accent may differ between devices. Background music is optional and stops when you open a book.
Our stories and illustrations
These stories grew from family storytelling. AI helps us adapt and organize the first editions, create illustrations, and provide read-aloud speech. Some connective scenes are adaptations rather than word-for-word recordings of the original storytelling. We review and improve the editions as we go.
Age ranges are guides for shared storytime, not reading-level assessments. A younger reader may enjoy listening with an adult.
Saved on this browser
Your place in each book and narrator preference are saved locally on this browser. They do not follow you to another device.
